MORE THAN JUST LESSONS
At Goldsmith Guitars, I aim to provide a greater experience than just offering basic tutoring for the guitar. Since 2021, I have been striving to broaden the opportunities available for my students, to heighten their enjoyment and knowledge of guitar and music.
SOLO RECORDING PROJECT
Students get to experience a recording session and have a take home ‘finished piece’ to show for at the end. The project sees students learning a song during lessons, polishing and perfecting it and finally recording with quality microphones and interface. The end result will be a MP3 recording that students can keep, to demonstrate their progress and skills on the guitar.
RESTRINGING WORKSHOPS
Students are taught how to take off old strings, clean up their guitar (including oil and polish) and replace new strings on top, improving your sound and teaching them to take care of their instrument. Think of it as a day spa for your guitar!
GROUP RECORDING PROJECTS
This project combines the talent of all my students who will work ‘together’ to create a cover of a song. Each student will learn their individual part in their lessons and then record it. All of the parts will be put together to create the full song. This is included at no extra cost to the initial lesson costs and is a great opportunity for students to experience a recording environment.
